PILLOW TALK ARCHIVE
February, 2007
I'm not so sure about the sexy, grand, or timeless characteristics of my personality, but I do know that the other qualities, standards, and expectations that are part of me were completely and exceedingly satisfied with my recent stay.
You have an exquisite hotel in the Kensington Park. Don't change a thing, especially the well-appointed and comfortable bathroom.
In spite of being awakened at 4:00 am with a fire alarm, and having to descend nine flights of stairs, the overall impression of my stay is positive.
Authentic and vividly,
Gerald

We want to thank you and your staff for all the courteous service you extended to us during our stay over the November 4th weekend. Everyone made us feel very welcome and our stay like a home away from home. No request was too much and we truly appreciate each and every one from our maid service to front desk to doormen to your self.
As we told you we were there in San Francisco for a special occasion, which was a wedding of dear friends from Santa Barbara. Our stay at the Kensington Park made the weekend even more special.
When next we return we shall definitely call the Kensington Park for reservations. We congratulate you on your fine staff and thank you all once again.
Most sincerely,
Thomas and Barbara

I am writing with a belated thank you for the very warm welcome my colleague Leslie and I received during our recent stay at the Kensington Park Hotel. Everyone went out of their way to make our visit both comfortable and memorable, particularly Bob the concierge, Dorothy on the front desk, and the charming man (whose name I did not get) who looked after the afternoon "sherry trolley" and for whom any request was "no problem". We could not have felt more looked after and at ease.
Thank you again for providing us with such delightful accommodation. I know that Deborah Tiffany, of SheRelaxes.com, will be sending you the link for the write-up of our San Francisco visit.

As I begin planning my Thanksgiving trip to San Francisco, my accommodations
are a "given". I've been staying at K.P. since the year it opened and
wouldn't dream of considering another hotel. I've told countless people
about this little "gem" and it's become truly one of the things I look
forward to most when arriving in your beautiful city. Can't wait to check
in again!

Just my own note to personalize our gratitude. My wife and I had a great
experience staying in your Hotel. Our only regret is that we weren't able
to stay for an extra night to see "The Spelling Bee" playing downstairs.
You have a very unique Hotel and I will happily recommend it to my 3,100
members of the Producers Guild. I also look forward to staying with you
whenever I come back for S.F. Regional Chapter business.
Thanks again, the Royal Suite was... "royal treatment."

I wanted to write to let you know how impressed Vance Van Petten,
Executive Director of the Producers Guild of America, was with his
stay at the Kensington Park Hotel on August 1, 2006.. Not only did
he enjoy the beautiful suite, but the friendly and efficient service
by the staff was welcomed and greatly appreciated. He came back so
enthusiastic about his stay, that I am eager to direct all and any of
our PGA members heading to San Francisco to stay at the Kensington
Park and the other Personality Hotels. We have recently opened a San
Francisco Chapter of the PGA and I am sure it will bring even more
business to Personality Hotels than we expected back when I first met
with Michelle Rubin. I enjoy working with Michelle - she is a
quality representative for your business and goes to great lengths to
insure our members are accommodated.
We look forward to continuing a mutually beneficial relationship with
Personality Hotels.
Sincerely,
Kyle Katz

Yes, I stayed at your hotel (THe Kensington Park Hotel) last week, from Monday to Saturday morning. I have stayed many places in San
Francisco but have never experienced the hospitality and friendliness
that I experienced this past week at the Kensington Park.
The price was extremely reasonable, so I actually didn't expect very
much for the price. I had flown up with a friend of mine because my
boss lives in your city, while our offices are in San Diego. He is a
tad bit unorganized so I offered to come up and 'organize' his little
home office in Stearns Grove. I worked a few hours each day and my
friend experienced the walking areas around downtown while I was
working.
We were treated VERY well and your staff was superb. I do want to
single out several employees who were not only very friendly and
courteous, but went out of their way to make our stay really
wonderful. Svetlana (Lana), at the front desk was sooooo nice and
she has a great sense of humor and really a REAL person. Beyond
that, I can't say enough about Robert, the Bellman/Concierge. What a
wonderful sense of humor and so nice to all of your guests. I loved
his humor (the dry English humor) and he was always looking out for
us (two middle aged single women) telling us which areas were safe
and the areas to steer clear of. Also, our room attendant, I believe
her name was Athena, was so sweet and always courteous and smiling,
smiling, smiling. Our room was more than satisfactory and all the
staff were over the top as far as service and courteousness.
I have stayed at The Savoy, The St. Francis, The Clift (mostly) and a couple other hotels that I can't remember the names of, but have
never enjoyed a stay so much as The Kensington Park. I told my boss
that I have a new destination hotel when I visit your wonderful city
again very soon. The morning coffee right outside our door (on each
floor, I imagine) was an added bonus that we took advantage of each
morning.
Again, thank you so much for such a wonderful experience and I will
probably be up your way again in a few months so I will be calling
you again.
Best Regards, for now,
-Gini Araiza

We thought the hotel was great. It was close to everything we wanted to do, and we didn't have to walk through the bad parts of town. Plus, the price was right! Everyone was kind and helpful. Thanks for a wonderful stay. We will use your hotels next time!

My daughter and I stayed at the Kensington Park Hotel in San Francisco earlier this week and had an extraordinary visit.
We checked in on Sunday and planned to check out and go to the airport on Tuesday at noon. Around 11:00 am Tuesday my daughter began experiencing a severe allergic attack. I scrambled to cancel and reschedule our travel plans in the midst of caring for her as her condition worsened. The concierge, Robert Finney, and Dorothy Wong at the front desk were absolutely wonderful about helping me manage this crisis. Dorothy extended our checkout time while I waited to see whether medication and rest would correct the situation. When it didn't, Robert telephoned the airlines to cancel our flights, and then he telephoned the nearest hospital emergency room so I could speak with them. When we decided to take her to the hospital he immediately hailed us a taxi and gave directions. When we returned from the hospital later that afternoon, Dorothy offered us anything we needed to be comfortable while my daughter recuperated throughout the night.
I must commend these two people on their excellent customer service, patience, and helpfulness. I don't know how I would have managed this serious health crises without their help. I remember thinking over and over again how glad I was that we had cancelled a reservation at the Hilton in favor of staying at the Kensington Park. We would not have had the help and personal service there that we experienced at the Kensington Park. Dorothy and Robert made a very frightening situation much easier on me and my daughter. I am so grateful that we were at your hotel, and although it was our first visit, it will not be our last. I have been telling everyone about your wonderful, small, personal, charming hotel and staff. We'll steer people your way as much as possible!
Please extend our sincerest thanks to Robert, Dorothy, and all the staff that made our stay wonderful in spite of the crisis. We so very much appreciated their understanding and helpfulness.

The article I had about your hotel was about 5 years old, so I took a chance hoping it would still be nice. We were delighted!First, Dorothy reserved a room for us in the quiet back with a view of Nob Hill, and we loved our room! 5109...(need to check the bathroom door as it squeaks, but that is a minor problem easily fixed!) Otherwise clean and comfortable! Lana was on duty when we checked in and was as sweet as could be! Friendly and fun! Made us feel at home right away! We connected with Robert because he knew our home town of San Diego! He helped us get a reservation at the top of B of A building for a birthday celebration! And, he helped us with ferry schedules and anything we needed.
Our stay in San Francisco was special and it was directly related to staying at the KENSINGTON PARK HOTEL! We are looking forward to staying with you again!

We enjoyed our stay at the Kensington. The front desk staff was especially helpful.
We saw the Spelling Bee play and that was great that it was in the same hotel!
I will definitely recommend your hotel to anybody looking to stay near Union Square
without being in one of the huge box hotels.

All of the participants enjoyed their stay and were quite comfortable with the accommodations and the food.

I just would like to let you know that our stay at the Kensington Park was very nice.
I want to let you know how much I appreciated the help I got in changing my rooms.
I had to change our plans a couple of times and no one made me feel like I was a pain.
Everyone was very helpful and professional. I will recommend you to my friends and family.

Again a big round of thank yous and applause for the Kensington.
My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time shopping, eating in Chinatown,
and riding the cable cars down to the wharf. Exactly what was needed!
Room 90 @the Kensington is beautiful! The view's at night are spectacular and
we were even serenaded by a lone saxophonist playing on the corner of Post on Friday night...
what a delight! As always the staff (especially Bob) was wonderful and accommodating.
I can not tell you enough that out of all the business traveling that I do as well as pleasure,
that I enjoy my stays at the Kensington the most.

Thank you so much for your time and attention I greatly appreciate it.
My guest is a very dear friend that travels to the Bay Area frequently for Bio-Tech seminars.
I want to show her that pomp and circumstance might have its pageantry, but for a truly wonderful
experience the Kensington is lovely in its own right.
There is nothing like Union Square at the holidays and the warmth Personality Hotels extends
is a comfort that I do not want to miss.
